Walking down Lemay Ferry Road, you enter the Nostalgia District: thrift stores, pawn shops, and other "interesting" retail establishments. The storefront dates back to the 1930s. Most businesses are in their fourth or fifth incarnation. Every new store owner builds on the last scrap.
Stores such as the Alamo military units are located at the intersection of Ravis Barracks and Lemay Ferry. . . On the day I stopped by, the place was filled with a variety of skins, from ancient cavalry boots to modern desert boots, with wool coats, plate caps and black leather boots.
Slammed on a wall of Class A vegetables is a pack for an army mule. A great piece! Likes to go to the Alamo a few times and visit his personal war memorial. Collectable guns, knives and vintage firearms you won't find anywhere else.
